Let us know that your address has changed so we can update our records and keep you informed about the shareholdings, company meetings and voting procedures.

Please note:

We are unable to update holdings in CREST. Please contact your provider directly.

You need to change the address on your holding

If you need to change your address, please use one of the following methods to inform us of the change.

ONLINE CALL US POST

If you already have a Shareview Portfolio, you can log in to change your address online.

If you don't have a Shareview Portfolio, you will need to let us know the change by phone or by post. This is because, as part the Shareview registration process, we send an activation letter to the current registered address.

Download and complete a Change of Address form. You will need to submit a separate form for each company you hold shares in.

Please ensure you follow the instructions on the form carefully and then post this to:

If you are unable to complete and send a form to us, a written request will be accepted. Please ensure that the following information is included:

Instruction from and original signature of the first named shareholder or legal representative;

Name(s) of shareholder(s);

The previous and new address; a shareholder can choose any address to which their shareholding(s) is/are to be registered;

Name of the company(ies) and Shareholder Reference(s) in which the shares are held (this can be found on the share certificate, share statement or on any previous correspondence we have sent you).

For phone or postal requests, we will process your change of address within 10 days of receipt of instruction. Online requests will happen instantly.

Barclays Sharestore & BT Easyshare customers please note: We are unable to register any address outside the UK and EEA as this is outside of the terms of this service.

Your holding is a corporate holding

For security, the request needs to be sent by post.

Either download and complete a Change of Address form or send the request on company-headed paper to:

Please ensure that the following information is also included:

An instruction and original signature from the authorised corporate signatory stating the capacity in which they sign (such as Director, Secretary, or authorised signatory);

The previous and new address; a shareholder can choose any address to which their shareholding(s) is/are to be registered;

Name of the company in which the shares are held;

Shareholder Reference for that shareholding (this can be found on the share certificate, share statement or on any previous correspondence we have sent you).

We will process your change of address within 10 days of receipt of instruction.

You are the legal representative

For security, the request needs to be sent by post.

Who can request the change?

If the current sole shareholder or one of the joint shareholders has died, the death will need to be formally registered before the change of address can take place. More information can be found on our Bereavement Support page.

The Power of Attorney has the authority to send a Change of Address request to us. The Power of Attorney must be registered with us before this can be completed. More information on how to register Power of Attorney with us on our Power of Attorney page.

Solicitors can also make the Change of Address request providing they sign and provide details of their authority to sign.

Once the pre-requisites from step 1 have been met either download and complete a Change of Address form or send us a written instruction.

In all cases, please ensure that the following information is also included:

Instruction from and signature of the legal representative;

Name(s) of shareholder(s);

The previous and new address; a shareholder can choose any address to which their shareholding(s) is/are to be registered;

Name of the company in which the shares are held;

Shareholder Reference for that shareholding (this can be found on the share certificate, share statement or on any previous correspondence we have sent you).
